Urban areas are melting pots of new opportunities. It are places where people meet, live, work and enjoy their spare time. It's an area where a known past will meet up with an unknown future.
People are eager to adopt services and products which make their life, work, spare time more enjoyable, more efficient. They are eager to adopt products and services which make them more resilient to future.
Digital Solutions can enable those products and services but cooperation between policy makers, citizens, technology experts and other stakeholders is required to realize new solutions for citizens in urban areas.
Facilitation is needed to bring experts from different disciplines and different regions together and to make them cooperate on digital solution enabled products and services for urban areas.
MISSION
The mission of the SmartCityTech partnership is to facilitate global cooperation between city stakeholders aiming at the development and realization of innovative value models for urban areas enabled by smart systems.

The SmartCityTech partnership includes 11 partners: DSP Valley, ZD.B, GAIA, SCC Cluster, AMEC, Green Hub Denmark, DigitalLead, FDKO, Sofia Knowledge City, TICE.PT and Danish Sound Network from 8 different EU countries: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
LIFELINE OF THE SMARTCITYTECH PARTNERSHIP
The mission of Clines was to develop a sustainable, well-organized European key technology intercluster, where the outcome of the partnership will increase the coordination of trans-regional innovation investments and ensure an efficient development, exploitation and dissemination of ICT in the Smart Cities / Embedded Systems domain
SmartCityTech was created after the previous CLINES project with the collaboration of four clusters. This was funded by the COSME Cluster Go International programme in the strand 1, getting the ESCP 4i label
After building the partnership in the SmartCityTech project and the addition of 4 new partners, the approach towards third markets was identified and got the funding from the COSME Cluster Go International call strand 2. The focus of the partnership is to develop Singapore in 2018 and USA in 2019
ET4S is a European Strategic Cluster Parntnership within SmartCityTech aiming to support SMEs in their internationalization processes towards ASEAN and North America
